INTERACTIVE MESSAGING

Interactive messaging has become immensely popular since they allow people to reply to your SMS messages. A short code is a number between 3 and 7 digits in length that can be used by customers, suppliers and employees to reply to your messages. These are extremely useful for marketing campaigns or promotions. They are also ideal for customer interactions since they can easily remember the number.

Short codes are country specific and therefore cannot be used to receive replies from international locations. There are two types of short codes:

STANDARD SHORT CODES

These work across all major mobile operators. Additional fee is also not charged to mobile users when sending and receiving messages

PREMIUM SHORT CODES

These are mainly used by business organizations to generate revenue when competitions or promotional events are held. Mobile users will be charged extra when they receiving and responding to a message
