NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATIONS

Technology is becoming more mobile as “on-the-go” lifestyles are becoming increasingly popular. Near Field Communications (NFC) is a set of standards that can be used to establish radio communication among smart phones and other similar devices. This is done by bringing the two devices into close proximity or by touching them together.

NFC has endless possibilities. Examples of applications include:

  • Instant payments and coupon delivery using handsets, as we currently do with credit and debit cards.
  • Marketing and exchange of information such as schedules, maps and business cards and coupon delivery using NFC Marketing tags
  • Payment for items by just waving the mobile phone over NFC capable devices
  • Transferring images and posters for displaying and printing via mobile phones
